SEP Rams Softball Club Tryouts 2025-2026 Season - Annual 2026

SEP Rams Softball Club Tryouts (Tournament Program)

Tryouts are for the SEP Rams Softball Club only. Please visit the SEP Rams Softball Club FAQ site for more information about the program.

Registration is a two-step process:

Step 1: Complete the 2025/2026 SEP Rams Softball Club Tryout registration below.

• There is a $75 non-refundable fee required to tryout. This fee will be applied towards your registration fee if your player is placed AND you accept the placement on a team.

• Registration must be complete by 11:59PM on the evening before your tryout date. Specific tryout dates are listed on the following website SEP Rams Softball Club Tryout Information.

• This is NOT registration for a team, this ONLY guarantees your players' registration for tryouts.

• If your player is selected for a SEP Rams Softball Club team, you will follow Step 2 AFTER teams are selected. Selections will be announced by August 16th.

Step 2: Complete the 2025/2026 SEP Rams Softball Club Registration to complete player information and to confirm the required acknowledgements.

• You will be notified that the second step is required after the selections are released.

Rec League Softball 2025 - Fall 2025

FALL - YOUTH REC LEAGUE SOFTBALL REGISTRATION

GAGSA youth rec league softball is open to girls from Altoona, the Southeast Polk School District, Pleasant Hill, Des Moines, and surrounding communities. 

NEW - Starting with the fall 2025 league season, GAGSA will be following the new USSSA Age Eligibility Determination date of September 1st. This means a player's age on or before September 1st of the current year will determine their age classification for the following season. This change aligns GAGSA with USSSA and other national softball programs.  Please visit the league softball page to view the Age Eligibility Chart to determine your players correct age division.  League Softball Information

NEW - Players entering 9th grade, who are 14U eligible based on the new USSSA Age Eligibility Determination, can register for 14U Fall League Softball. 

Registration opens June 5th and closes July 14th. 

Cost: $60

A $5 late fee will be applied to registrations after July 7th

Practice beings the week of July 28th Games may be played Mondays-Sunday (total of 6 games) starting August 11th to September 18th at Sam Wise Softball Complex in Altoona. There will be no standings or end of season tournament.  Fall 8U division will be coach/parent umpires. 

Fall Season is the perfect time to move your player up to a higher division in preparation for next years spring season! GAGSA Rec League is intended for players new to softball as well as those with previous softball experience.

Players in fall league will be assigned to teams by the GAGSA league directors.
